Angel One algo trading software: setup and compatibility guide

Dark Logic Algo provides a Windows desktop package for an Angel One SmartAPI workflow, plus a browser terminal. Review the setup material and current broker requirements before connecting an account or placing live orders.

What the Angel One package is

The downloadable Windows build is intended for the Angel One SmartAPI workflow. It is one component of a trading setup: you also need an eligible broker account, API access under the broker’s current rules, a compatible device and a strategy whose rules you understand.

The package does not guarantee that every broker feature, order type, instrument or account configuration will be supported. The exact behaviour can depend on the app version and changes to the broker API. Confirm these details with support before relying on the software.

Prepare before connecting

Read the included installation guide, check the broker’s latest API documentation, and make sure you understand how authentication, order status and errors are handled in the current setup. Never send your password, one-time passcode, API secret or session token through email, chat or a support form.

Start with a test or paper workflow where available. Verify order size, product type, symbol mapping, stop rules and exit behaviour. If you move to live trading, use conservative limits and monitor the broker account directly.

Questions to verify

Broker APIs can change. Before installation, ask which app version is current and whether the specific instruments and order settings you need have been checked against the latest SmartAPI requirements.

  • Supported Windows version and installation prerequisites
  • Required SmartAPI permissions and any current network or static-IP requirements
  • Supported instruments, order types and session behaviour
  • How to stop automation and verify open orders in the broker’s own interface
